18-wheeler carrying plastic containers catches fire on I-20 West

SCOTT COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) - An 18-wheeler caught fire on I-20 West in Scott County, causing traffic congestion Wednesday afternoon.

Scott County Sheriff Mike Lee says the vehicle caught fire at the 84-mile marker.

No injuries have been reported yet.

According to Sheriff Lee, the truck was carrying plastic containers.

Law enforcement is working to contain the fire.

Traffic around the area is congested, according to Sheriff Lee.
